The achievements of our School faculty have been recognized by the accounting profession, the University, academic colleagues in Canada and around the world, and other award-granting organizations.
Where awards are for lifetime achievement, we include retired faculty to show the fine tradition of quality faculty in the School of Accounting and Finance. 10 FCAs (Fellows of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario), which are awarded to recognize "outstanding career achievements and leadership contributions to the community and the profession" and comprise less than 3% of the Institute's membership:
3 FCMAs (Fellows of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada), which demonstrates "excellence in management accounting, commitment to CMA Canada, and a civic-mindedness that brings community respect", and has been given to less than 2% of the Society's membership
3 recipients of the Award of Outstanding Merit of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, which is the Institute's highest award. For all other universities, only one faculty member has received this award.
Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants Award for Excellence in Income Tax Practice and Education. This award is given "to the professional who best exemplifies the highest qualities of a tax leader in Canada through public practice, corporate or other organizational work and through the promotion of tax education" and has only been awarded once.
